I was breaking rung after rung of the corporate ladder working for an amazing array of companies with an even more amazing array of communication needs from television news producing, newspaper design, corporate training, PR, marketing design and production -- you name it -- I have probably done it. But, all of that has filled my portfolio with in-depth, hands-on experiences worth decades in this business. I don't claim to know it all, but what I don't know, I know where to find.

Old-fashioned values.

Let me take you a little bit back in time. What it all comes down to is I'm just a midwest-Minnesota farmer's daughter who grew up the youngest of nine children and had to find her way or get lost in the crowd. I watched my mother raise a family with high standards and expectations. All without complaining a day for not having an air conditioner or a dishwasher. I adored my father who taught me about hard work, how to golf and how to drive a rear-wheel drive pickup on ice. My parents taught me old-fashioned values and respect. I had to wash clothes with a ringer washer and hang them on the line to dry. I had to mow seven acres of lawn before my dad would let me drive the 15 miles in to town to hang with my friends. I chopped sunflowers the size of small trees out of the soybean field and hated every minute of it. All of that has made me the person I am today. Hard working. Dependable. Trust-worthy. I'm a terrible liar and a lot stubborn.

So you ask yourself if I'm the right person for the job -- stop and ask yourself this? She's half Irish, half German with a whole lot of talent and resources -- why would I NOT want to hire her?!
